Educational qualifications are as per Annexure-A of the notification.

1. Visit JKSSB Official Website.
2. Click on “Apply Online” and register with valid email and mobile number.
3. Fill in personal, educational, and category details carefully.
4. Upload required documents and photograph/signature.
5. Pay the application fee online (₹600 for General, ₹500 for SC/ST/EWS/PwBD).
6. Submit the form and take a printout for Document Verification.

• Mode of Exam: Written test conducted in offline OMR format.
• Question Type: Objective Type, Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
• Language of Paper: English only.
• Total Marks: To be notified in the detailed syllabus.
• Negative Marking: ¼ mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
• Duration: Exam duration will be announced separately by JKSSB.
• Syllabus: Detailed syllabus for each post will be published on the official JKSSB website.
• Admit Card: Available online about one week before the exam date.
• Exam Centres: To be notified separately; candidates must check JKSSB portal regularly.

The exam is designed to test subject knowledge, general awareness, reasoning ability, and other skills relevant to the advertised posts. Candidates are advised to prepare thoroughly and follow the official syllabus once released.

• Stage 1 – Written Examination: Candidates will appear for an objective type test (MCQs in English). Negative marking of ¼ mark applies for each wrong answer.
• Stage 2 – Document Verification (DV): Shortlisted candidates must produce original certificates (Domicile, Qualification, Category, Birth Certificate, ID Proof, etc.) along with self-attested copies.
• Stage 3 – Final Merit List: Prepared based on performance in the written exam and successful document verification.
• Reservation Rules: Applicable as per the Jammu & Kashmir Reservation Act/Rules, including horizontal reservation for PwBD and Ex-Servicemen.
• Eligibility Scrutiny: Candidature remains provisional until documents are verified. False claims or invalid certificates will lead to cancellation and possible penal action.
