CSIR–National Institute of Oceanography (CSIR–NIO), Goa invites applications for Apprenticeship Training. A total of 27 vacancies are available for Technician (Diploma) and Graduate (Non-Engineering) apprentices. Walk-in Interview will be held on 06 July 2026 at CSIR–NIO HQ, Goa.
CSIR–National Institute of Oceanography (CSIR–NIO), Goa, under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, invites applications for Apprenticeship Training. Walk-in Interviews will be held on 06 July 2026 at CSIR–NIO HQ, Goa. A total of 27 vacancies are available for Technician (Diploma) and Graduate (Non-Engineering) apprentices across multiple disciplines.
This apprenticeship program offers one-year training opportunities with monthly stipends of ₹10,900 for Diploma apprentices and ₹12,300 for Graduate apprentices. Selected candidates will gain practical exposure in engineering, science, administration, and specialized fields such as oceanography, nursing, and publishing. On successful completion, apprentices will receive a National Apprenticeship Certificate from NCVT/BOAT.

Begin by registering yourself on the NATS Portal. Once registered, generate your Unique Student Enrolment ID, which is mandatory for application.
Download and carefully fill out the application form provided in the official notification, ensuring all details are accurate.
Prepare your original documents along with two sets of self‑attested photocopies. These should include qualification certificates, marksheets, proof of date of birth, identity proof, and category certificate if applicable.
Keep your valid Aadhaar card, NATS enrolment number, and one recent passport‑size photograph ready to present at the interview.
Attend the Walk‑in Interview scheduled at CSIR–NIO, Dona Paula, Goa on 06 July 2026.
Report between 8:30 AM and 10:00 AM for document verification, followed by the personal interview process.

2. Written Test (if required)

Shortlisted candidates will attend a personal interview to assess suitability, communication skills, and subject knowledge.

Original certificates including educational qualifications, date of birth proof, Aadhaar, and community/category certificates will be verified.
5. Final Merit List
Final selection will be based on merit, performance in written test/interview, and successful verification of documents.
6. Medical Fitness
Selected candidates must meet medical fitness standards as per CSIR guidelines before joining.
7. Apprenticeship Engagement
On completion of all stages, candidates will be engaged as apprentices for one year and awarded a National Apprenticeship Certificate after successful training.
There are a total of 27 vacancies: 4 Technician (Diploma) apprentices and 23 Graduate (Non-Engineering) apprentices.
2. What is the stipend for apprentices?
Technician (Diploma) apprentices receive ₹10,900 per month, while Graduate apprentices receive ₹12,300 per month.

4. What are the eligibility criteria?
Diploma apprentices must be aged 18–24 with a 3-year Diploma in Engineering. Graduate apprentices must be aged 21–26 with a Bachelor’s degree in relevant disciplines.

12. Will apprentices be offered permanent jobs after training?
No. Apprenticeship does not guarantee employment. On completion, candidates will receive a National Apprenticeship Certificate.
