• Proof of Age & Identity: Matriculation certificate and valid government-issued ID to verify date of birth and identity.
• Educational Certificates: 10+2 mark sheets and certificates in Science stream, along with Pharmacy Degree/Diploma credentials.
• Professional Registration: Valid registration certificate from the Pharmacy Council (State/Central) confirming eligibility to practice.
• Category Certificates: Original and self-attested copies of SC/ST/OBC/EWS/BPL/WFF certificates, issued on parental basis, valid on both application closing date and document verification date.
• Bonafide Himachali Certificate: Required for candidates claiming exemption from HP schooling condition.
• Photograph & Signature: Recent passport-size photograph (not older than one month, JPG/JPEG/PNG, max 1 MB) and signature (max 1 MB).
• Experience Certificates (if applicable): Proof of work experience in pharmacy or healthcare, issued by recognized institutions.
• Application Confirmation Slip: Printed copy of the submitted Online Recruitment Application (ORA) form for verification.

1. Access the Portal: Visit the official HPRCA website at hprca.hp.gov.in.
2. Create Your Account: Sign up to generate a username and password, which will be used throughout the recruitment cycle.
3. Complete One-Time Registration (OTR): Enter personal details, academic qualifications, and work experience (if any). Upload a recent passport-size photograph (JPG/JPEG/PNG, max 1 MB, not older than one month) and signature (max 1 MB).
4. Update Your Profile: Ensure your profile is fully completed. Only candidates with complete profiles can proceed to application submission.
5. Select the Post: From the list of advertised vacancies, choose Post Code 26043 – Pharmacy Officer (Allopathy) and click “Apply”.
6. Choose Exam Centre: Select your preferred district for the examination from the dropdown menu.
7. Verify Details: Review all auto-filled and manually entered information carefully before final submission.
8. Pay Application Fee: Deposit ₹800 (exam + processing fee) via the online payment gateway using Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking.
9. Download Confirmation: After successful payment and submission, download the application confirmation slip and save it for future reference.

The recruitment process is strictly merit-based and consists of two distinct stages. There is no interview component — candidates are assessed entirely through a Computer Based Test (CBT) or OMR-based Written Screening Test, followed by document verification. The final merit list is prepared using the “Merit-cum-Option-cum-Availability of Post” principle, ensuring transparency and fairness.

• Stage 1 — Computer Based Test (CBT) / OMR Screening Test: A 120-mark objective exam of 1.5 hours covering Pharmacy subjects, General Knowledge (with emphasis on Himachal Pradesh), Current Affairs, Everyday Science, Logical Reasoning, Social Science, and English & Hindi at matric level.
• Stage 2 — Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates must present original certificates and self-attested copies to confirm eligibility, qualifications, and category claims. Only those who clear this stage will be considered for final appointment.

Note: Candidates should prepare strictly according to the official syllabus and exam pattern issued by HPRCA. Minimum qualifying marks are 45% for General category and 40% for SC/ST/OBC/WFF candidates, with possible relaxation up to 5% if required.
