Stage 1 – Computer Based Test (CBT):
Candidates will appear for an online examination covering core subjects, reasoning, general awareness, English, quantitative aptitude, and computer knowledge.
• Minimum Qualifying Marks:
OC / EWS – 40%
BC – 35%
SC / ST / PwBD – 30%
Note: There is no negative marking in the CBT.
Stage 2 – Certificate Verification:
Shortlisted candidates will be called in a 1:1 ratio for verification of original documents. This includes educational certificates, age proof, caste/community certificate, PwBD certificate (if applicable), and local status certificate.
Final Merit List:
The final selection will be prepared based on performance in the CBT and successful certificate verification. Merit will be determined strictly on marks secured, reservation rules, and eligibility compliance.
Important Note:
Mere securing of minimum qualifying marks does not guarantee selection. Only candidates who clear certificate verification will be considered for final appointment.

Candidates will be posted in field offices such as Meter & Relay Testing (MRT), Line Maintenance, Sub‑station Maintenance, and Construction Divisions. Initial postings will be in rural and remote areas across Andhra Pradesh for a minimum of 5 years.

7. What is the selection procedure?
Selection is based on a Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by certificate verification. Minimum qualifying marks: OC/EWS – 40%, BC – 35%, SC/ST/PwBD – 30%.

CBT carries 100 marks: Core Subject – 70, Reasoning – 5, General Awareness – 7, English – 5, Quantitative Aptitude – 8, Computer Knowledge – 5. No negative marking.
9. Where will the posting be?
Candidates will be posted in field offices such as Line Maintenance, Sub‑station Maintenance, and Construction Divisions, especially in rural/remote areas, for at least 5 years.
10. What is the application fee?
OC/EWS – ₹500; SC/ST/BC/PwBD – ₹250.
11. Is there reservation for local candidates?
Yes, reservation is regulated as per Presidential Order and Government guidelines. Local candidates must provide study/residence certificates.
