What is the BOB officer eligibility as a Local Bank Officer
Eligibility for Local Bank Officer requires graduation in any discipline from a recognized university, minimum one year officer experience in a Scheduled Commercial Bank, proficiency in the local language of the applied state, and age between 21–30 years with applicable relaxations for reserved categories.

Education
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or institution. Preferred certifications include IC‑38 (Insurance), NISM Series V‑A (Mutual Fund), NISM Series XXI‑A (PMS), and NISM Series XIII (Derivatives).
Experience
Minimum 1 year post‑qualification officer experience in a Scheduled Commercial Bank listed in the Second Schedule of RBI. Clerical experience will not be considered.
Age Limit
21–30 years as on 01.08.2026. Relaxations: SC/ST – 5 years, OBC – 3 years, PwBD – 10 to 15 years, Ex‑Servicemen – up to 10 years depending on category.
Language Proficiency
Must be proficient in the local language of the applied state (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding). For Arunachal Pradesh and Nagaland, English is accepted if studied in a local school.
Nationality
Candidate must be a citizen of India. Proof of nationality required at the time of interview.
Other Conditions
Candidates must ensure they meet eligibility on the cut‑off date. Employees who resigned from officer cadre in Bank of Baroda within last 3 years are not eligible.
