Exam Pattern – HPRCA Junior Office Assistant (IT) Recruitment 2026
The Computer Based Test (CBT) / Written Screening Test will consist of 120 objective-type multiple-choice questions to be attempted in 90 minutes. Each question carries one mark. The syllabus covers:
- 10+2 level subjects as per essential qualification
- Computer Science, IT, Information Practices, and IT-enabled services
- General Knowledge including Himachal Pradesh GK and Current Affairs
- Everyday Science, Logical Reasoning, and Social Science
- General English and General Hindi (Matric level)
After qualifying the CBT, candidates must appear for a Skill Test on computer. The typing speed requirement is 30 words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi. The skill test is of qualifying nature only and does not carry marks.
Selection Procedure – HPRCA Junior Office Assistant (IT) Recruitment 2026
The selection process will be conducted in two stages:
- Stage 1 – CBT/Written Screening Test: Candidates are shortlisted based on performance in the objective test. Minimum qualifying marks are 45% for General category and 40% for SC/ST/OBC/WFF candidates. In case of multiple shifts, scores will be normalized using the Z-Score method.
