Selection Procedure - Manipur Horticulture Dept Recruitment 2026

• Assistant Agriculture Officer (Group B):
  • Selection will be based on a written test followed by a viva voce (oral interview).
  • The written test will be of objective type (MCQ) and will include:
    • General Knowledge – 25 marks
    • General English – 25 marks
    • General Agriculture/Horticulture – 50 marks
  • Candidates shortlisted from the written test will be called for viva voce, and final merit will be prepared based on combined performance.
• Field Assistant (Group C):
  • Selection will be based on a written test only.
  • The test will consist of 100 questions (Graduate level), divided into:
    • General Intelligence & Reasoning – 25 marks
    • General Knowledge – 25 marks
    • Quantitative Aptitude – 25 marks
    • English Language – 25 marks
  • Final merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the written test.
• LDC / Office Assistant-cum-Computer Operator (Group C):
  • Selection will be based on a written test conducted by the Department.
  • The test will include:
    • General English, Precis Writing, Drafting & Essay – 100 marks (3 hours)
    • General Knowledge – 50 marks (1.5 hours)
    • Computer (Practical) – 50 marks (1.5 hours)
  • Minimum qualifying marks: 30% in each subject.
• Group D Posts (Fieldman, Mali, Peon, Chowkidar, Lab Attendant):
  • Selection will be based on a written test only (Matriculate level).
  • The test will consist of 100 marks divided into:
    • General Knowledge – 50 marks
    • Basic Mathematics – 25 marks
    • English Language – 25 marks
  • Final merit list will be prepared based on marks obtained in the written test.
• Document Verification:
  • Mandatory for all posts after written test/viva voce.
  • Verification of caste, domicile, educational qualifications, age, and other claims made in the application.
• Final Merit List:
  • Prepared based on performance in written test and viva voce (where applicable).
  • Tie-breaking rules:
    • Older candidate will be ranked higher.
    • If age is equal, alphabetical order of names will be considered.
