Note: Relaxation in marks for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD candidates is applicable as per UGC/GOI/NCERT rules. Age of retirement and service conditions follow Government of India norms.

1. Visit the NCERT Recruitment Portal: Go to NCERT Online Application Portal to access the recruitment form.
2. Register with Valid Credentials: Use a working email ID and mobile number to create your account. These will be used for communication and verification.
3. Complete the Application Form: Enter personal, academic, and professional details accurately. Upload scanned copies of required documents including photograph, signature, and certificates.
4. Pay Application Fee: Candidates from UR/OBC/EWS categories must pay ₹1000 online. SC/ST/PwD/Women applicants are exempted from the fee.
5. Review and Submit: Double-check all details before final submission. Once submitted, no corrections are allowed. Save and print a copy of the application for future reference.
6. Track Updates: Regularly visit the NCERT website for updates on shortlisting, interview schedules, and final results.

Note: Incomplete applications or incorrect information may lead to rejection. Ensure eligibility criteria are met as of the closing date (22 February 2026).

Note: Salaries are governed by UGC/NCERT norms under the 7th Central Pay Commission. In addition to the entry pay, employees are entitled to allowances such as DA, HRA, medical facilities, pension schemes, and other benefits as per Government of India rules. • Recent Passport Size Photograph: Clear, colored, and taken within the last 6 months.
• Signature: Scanned copy of applicant’s signature in prescribed format and size.
• Educational Certificates: Mark sheets and degree certificates of qualifying examinations (Master’s, Ph.D., NET/SLET/SET as applicable).
• Experience Certificates: Proof of teaching/research experience for Professor and Associate Professor posts.
• Caste/Category Certificate: Valid certificate for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/EWS candidates issued by competent authority.
• Disability Certificate: Issued by a recognized medical board for PwD candidates (minimum 40% disability).
• Identity Proof: Government-issued ID such as Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, or Voter ID.
• No Objection Certificate (NOC): Required for candidates already employed in Government/PSU/Autonomous institutions.
• Research Publications: Copies of published papers, journals, or books as per UGC/NCERT norms.
• Other Supporting Documents: Any additional certificates relevant to eligibility or claims made in the application form.

Note: All documents must be uploaded in scanned format during online application and originals must be produced at the time of interview/verification.

The selection process for NCERT Teaching Recruitment 2026 is designed to ensure transparency and merit-based appointments. Candidates will first be shortlisted based on eligibility criteria, academic qualifications, research publications, and experience as per UGC/NCERT norms. Shortlisted applicants will then be invited to appear for the interview stage, where subject knowledge, teaching aptitude, research contributions, and communication skills will be assessed.

• Step 2: Verification of original documents and eligibility at the time of interview.
• Step 3: Personal interview conducted by NCERT selection committee.
• Step 4: Preparation of merit list based on interview performance and academic record.
• Step 5: Final selection and appointment subject to verification of credentials.
