Candidates must meet the prescribed age, education, and professional experience requirements for each post. The eligibility criteria ensure that applicants possess the necessary academic background and practical skills to serve effectively in paramedical roles under Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). Age relaxations apply as per Government of India rules for reserved categories.

Note: Candidates awaiting final results in 2026 may also apply. All certificates must be valid and issued by recognized institutions. Age and eligibility will be determined as of the closing date of applications.

Candidates must apply online only through the official recruitment portal. Applications submitted offline will not be accepted. Ensure all details are accurate, documents uploaded correctly, and fees paid before submission. Follow the steps below:

1. Visit the official SSB recruitment portal.
2. Select the post you wish to apply for (only one post allowed per candidate).
3. Fill in personal details, educational qualifications, and category information.
4. Upload required documents, passport-size photo, and signature in prescribed format.
5. Pay the application fee online via net banking, debit/credit card, or UPI (if applicable).
6. Submit the application and download the acknowledgement slip with registration number.

Note: Keep a copy of the acknowledgement slip for future reference during selection stages.

Selected candidates will receive salary as per the 7th CPC Pay Matrix along with allowances such as Dearness Allowance, Ration Money, House Rent Allowance, and medical benefits. The pay levels vary by post as shown below:

Candidates must upload and produce original documents during verification. Ensure scanned copies are clear and in the prescribed format. The following documents are mandatory:

• Matriculation / 10th Certificate (for Date of Birth proof)
• Educational Qualification Certificates (10th/12th/Diploma as applicable)
• Experience Certificates (minimum 1 year in relevant field)
• Caste / Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS, if applicable)
• Passport-size Photograph (white background, 75% face visible)
• Signature (scanned in JPG format)
• Valid ID Proof (Aadhaar, Voter ID, PAN, Driving License, etc.)

The recruitment process follows a structured exam pattern to ensure fair selection. Candidates will first appear for a Written Examination covering general knowledge, reasoning, and subject-specific paramedical topics. This is followed by Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST)Skill TestMedical Examination will be conducted to confirm fitness for service. Biometric verification is mandatory at every stage to prevent impersonation and ensure authenticity.

The selection procedure is multi‑stage and merit‑based. It includes:

• Written Test: Objective questions on general awareness, reasoning, and technical subjects.
• Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Running and endurance activities to test physical fitness.
• Physical Standard Test (PST): Height, chest, and weight measurements as per prescribed norms.
• Skill Test: Practical evaluation of paramedical skills depending on the post applied.
• Document Verification: Checking of certificates, identity proofs, and eligibility documents.
• Medical Examination: Final stage to ensure candidates meet health and fitness standards.

Only candidates clearing each stage will progress to the next. Final merit will be prepared based on performance in all stages combined.

Selected candidates will be appointed under the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB)liable to serve anywhere in India, including border areas, remote regions, or specialized medical units. In certain cases, postings may also extend outside the territory of India as per organizational requirements. Candidates must be prepared for transferable duties and challenging field conditions in line with the SSB Act & Rules.
