The recruitment process at HAL will be conducted in multiple stages to ensure fair and transparent selection of candidates. The primary stage is a Written Test of 2.5 hours duration, consisting of three parts: General Awareness, English & Reasoning, and Trade/Discipline-specific questions. Candidates must secure the minimum qualifying marks (UR/OBC/EWS – 60%, SC/ST/PwBD – 50%) to be considered.
Based on performance in the Written Test, shortlisted candidates will be called for Document Verification. At this stage, all original certificates (educational, caste/EWS, NAC/Diploma, ID proof, etc.) must be produced. Inability to furnish valid documents will lead to disqualification.
Candidates who clear document verification will undergo a Pre-Employment Medical Examination at HAL Hospital. Medical fitness is mandatory, and no relaxation in health standards will be permitted. For PwBD candidates, suitability will be assessed by a Medical Board as per HAL rules.
Final selection will be made strictly on the basis of Written Test merit, subject to successful verification of documents, medical fitness, and character/antecedent checks. Engagement will be tenure-based for four years, with deployment at Helicopter MRO Division bases (Missamari, Kochi, Chennai, Mamun).
